"My husband Fred & I took a first trip to Hilton Head on our honey moon in 1998. I told my husband that Hilton Head was my preferred destination as I had seen what it looked like through the televised tennis & golf tournaments held there every year, and also through co-workers who had been there. Each time I viewed the beaches, the golf courses and the beauty of the island, I was more and more hooked - and our first experience did not disappoint!
Each successive trip and memories made with our family ultimately lead to our purchase of our piece of paradise. It had to be within steps of the beach as I grew up in Long Island, New York and being by the water was always a dream. After our purchase, we worked to make our house something everyone would enjoy, so we did renovations on it each year from raising the ceilings to installing new floors. We loved the floor to ceiling windows, the Carolina room, the state of the art pool and the flow of the one-level house the first time we saw it- but it was the proximity to the beach that did the trick.
Now that we get to visit there every year, we realized what a wonderful choice this was- from the wonderful restaurants we get to enjoy (we are real foodies!), to the fireworks, to the many cultural events such as the symphony and the plays that we didn't even know were there until we got to spend more time. After we partnered with Destination Vacation, we knew our home would be lovingly cared for by people we consider our friends. We hope everyone takes the time out of their busy lives to spend it in Hilton Head. Since our home is in Sea Pines, while we don't have to leave the plantation to enjoy the best life has to offer, it is easily done as our home is right near the ocean gate. So we hope you come to visit and experience what we have found in this jewel of an island."
