8 Black Skimmer is the perfect blend of casual elegance in a spacious vacation home. Located in the heart of Sea Pines and just 5 rows from the sandy beaches of the Atlantic Ocean, 8 Black Skimmer features 6 bedrooms, 6 full/2 half baths, Carolina room, screened porch, private pool and spa. High end appointments from rich hardwood flooring to cathedral Alpine-beamed ceilings in the living room and custom cabinets, granite countertops and stainless appliances in the kitchen are balanced with all new bathrooms, plush furniture and an open floorplan with 6 private bedrooms with bedding for up to 15 guests.

The front door of the home provides a dramatic entrance to the main living room on the 2nd floor of the home. The living room's beamed ceilings will immediately grab your attention and the comfortable furniture and mounted flat screen TV will provide hours of relaxation with family and friends. Also included on this level are the dining area, kitchen bar stools and breakfast nook within the kitchen with combined seating for up to 17 guests, Carolina room, and 2 bedrooms. The first bedroom features a queen bed, mounted TV and large en-suite bath with large walk-in shower, and the second bedroom also features a queen bed, mounted TV and private bath with a walk-in shower. The laundry room with full size washer and dryer and half bath/powder room complete the 2nd floor.

A staircase located off the living room takes you down to the 1st floor with casual living and dining areas and 4 guest bedrooms with en-suite baths. The fully furnished living room features a sectional sofa with queen sleeper bed and 60" flat screen TV, and the game table/dining area with seating for 6 compliments the granite-topped kitchenette with microwave and mini-fridge, making it the perfect place for snacks, meals or game nights. This level features a stackable washer/dryer and powder room for guest convenience and the living room offers direct access to the furnished screened porch with comfortable breezes and the sounds of the pool's waterfall feature as the backdrop.

The bedrooms on the 1st floor are located in each corner surrounding the living room. One bedroom features a king bed with a mounted TV and updated bath with walk-in shower. The second bedrooms features 2 twin beds with a mounted TV and updated bath with walk-in shower. The third bedroom features a queen bed and the final bedroom has a set of bunk beds and a pull-out trundle underneath. Both of these bedrooms feature mounted TVs and updated baths with shower/tub combinations.

Amenities at 8 Black Skimmer include convenient beach access with a private path off the pool deck which leads to the paved beach path and straight shot to the beach. The pool and spa were completely redesigned and built brand new in 2021! Combined with the upper balcony with gas grill and ground level screened porch, these areas provide the perfect setting for play, entertainment and relaxation. Spa heat is included with your rental and the pool can be heated for an additional fee. Wireless internet is available at no cost to guests. Due to the size of the driveway at this home, parking is limited to 3 vehicles. Please contact Destination Vacation for parking alternatives at other locations for overflow parking.

Only 5 rows from the beach and an easy walk for all ages, the location of 8 Black Skimmer is unbeatable. South Beach Marina, Harbour Town, the Plantation Golf Club and the Sea Pines Beach Club are easy bike rides or short drives away. Sea Pines is a world-class vacation resort with pristine beaches, miles of biking trails, Lawton Stables with live petting zoo, public golf courses, including Harbour Town Golf Links, Racquet Clubs, shopping, restaurants and fully operational marinas in Harbour Town and South Beach with water sports, fishing charters and live entertainment. Most Sea Pines amenities are open to the public, but some may have parking fees or seasonal rates as determined by the resort. Our family had the pleasure of staying at 8 Black Skimmer Road 7/24/21-7/31/21. We have spent 10+ years renting homes in Sea Pines and found this rental home to be exceptional. There were 12 of us...kids and adults. Plenty of room. Each bedroom an ensuite. Immaculate condition. Easy floor plan. The kitchen was VERY well equipped and had everything we needed. We all enjoyed the pool! 4 minute walk to the beach. We rented bikes for the week...super easy to get to the bike paths. Excellent location. We highly recommend 8 Black Skimmer. We would definitely stay again. 10 out of 10.

This was a beautiful home with a brand new pool. We had our three children w/spouses and 8 grandkids and the house was perfect. The walk to the beach is easy for little children and no streets to cross. The beaches are clean and spacious. And the water was delightfully warm. And so was the pool! The only hiccup was on arrival at 4 the house was not ready as a cleaning crew had failed to show up on time. Other than that the people at Destination Vacation were great and let us use the pool while the house crew finished up. It was a great stay.

The location and house were fantastic. We loved the new pool and hot tub and being so close to the beach. The house was very comfortable, had plenty of space and was well stocked - the only thing we couldn't find was a tea kettle...but a pot did the trick. When we called about the hot tub not heating up someone was there very quickly, which we appreciated. It didn't resolve the issue, but the next day someone came as soon as we called again and realized it was programmed to not heat beyond 86 degrees....he fixed the issue....so yes, the service was great. I would say that the only negative was that if you wanted to eat outside by the pool there was no easy access to the backyard. You had to bring food from the kitchen, through the living room, down the stairs, through the lower level and out the screened in porch. But the house was really great for us and I would definitely recommend it. We had a fantastic time....very relaxing! Thanks for your assistance.

8 Black Skimmer was wonderful! The accommodations were perfect for our large family. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The weather could not have been more perfect. My only recommendation would be to change the queen bed in the upstairs master bedroom to a king. As always, everyone at Destination Vacation does an outstanding job taking care of us! We were very happy with the services provided by the team at Destination Vacations. Very responsive and helpful. The house we rented (8 Black Skimmer) was perfect for our multi-family vacation. Everyone had their own bathroom and plenty of space to stretch out. The location was fabulous - very short walk to the beach, but also close to the main biking trails that could go any direction and a short ride to South Beach Marina. There were plenty of kitchenware and utensils as well for our large group. Only small area of improvement was for bedding - the beds were pretty firm, and maybe some additional sleeping pillows. However, these were not show-stoppers by any means, and realize these are both preferences, and not necessarily something for all. We are already talking about looking into staying again for our next trip to HHI! Thank you very much for facilitating wonderful memories with our family.

This was our 2nd year at 8 Black Skimmer. The house is perfect for our family and is the most well stocked house we have rented. The one suggestion I would pass on to the owners is that there are no blinds on the west facing windows. The lack of blinds lets the sun beat in all afternoon and the ac can't keep up. The temp often reached 83 and took until around midnight to get back down to 72. We also did not get in the home until about 5:30 but very understandable with COVID situation. Thanks for another great week on HHI.

The house was beautiful. You can tell the owners care for the house with great detail. It was warm and inviting. It was stocked with everything needed for our stay. Games, extra blankets, pillows, and fans. We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and the relaxing moments by the pool. Not wanting to leave, you can expect our return year after year.

We loved this house! Fit our extended family very well. Just a heads up, the unit has 2 blenders. One doesn't work and the other one leaks. This was a very minor problem, otherwise we would have called.

We were very impressed with our accomodations! The website didnt even do it justice! We loved the proximity to the beach and to the bike paths. The house was so clean when we arrived! And it was well stocked! We will definitely try to book it again next year!! We were impressed with the pool service and quick attention when we had something that needed fixed!

The house was fabulous. Because we have a many kids in our family group, we find it easier to eat in and share the cooking. The kitchen was equipped with every thing we could ever want. We had a toilet that was leaking and it was fixed quickly. Wonderful experience and we will recommend you to everyone going to Hilton Head.

Destination Vacation did a top-notch job from beginning to end of our vacation experience. Every question was answered timely and accommodated. The website gives an awesome first impression and lives up to every beautiful photo posted. The house we rented, 8 Black Skimmer, was the best vacation rental experience we've ever had, anywhere. The layout of the home, the stocked kitchen, the lighting, the cleanliness, the décor, the stocked kitchen, the grounds, the pool/spa, did I mention the stocked kitchen!...all were exceptional. We relaxed in every inch of that home and will definitely return. Destination Vacation will be first for our future rental needs on Hilton Head Island. Thank you for everything!
