4 Black Skimmer ~ Sea Pines

Located in Sea Pines Resort and only 6 rows from the ocean, 4 Black Skimmer is the perfect home for your next family vacation. This charming beach home features 3 bedrooms and 3 baths plus a 4th bedroom and 4th bath are available as a detached guest house with separate entrance.

In 2019, the kitchen, dining room, living room and laundry room were completely renovated! Walls were removed and the kitchen was completely redesigned to create an open floorplan. Beautiful wood floors extend throughout the entire space, and the kitchen offers a large center island with granite countertops, two sinks and stainless dishwasher. The kitchen is outfitted with GE Monogram appliances, stainless steel refrigerator, separate under-counter beverage cooler and gas range. The dining room seats up to 10 guests and the living room has vaulted ceilings with ceiling fan, flat screen TV, plush furniture and sliding glass doors to the pool deck. The laundry room behind the kitchen is also redesigned with with full-size washer and dryer, counterspace and cabinets.

The bedrooms in the main home include a master with King bed and full bath with Jacuzzi tub and shower, a second bedroom with King bed and full bath with tub/shower combination, and a third bedroom with 2 Queen beds and full bath with tub/shower combination. The guest house also has a King bed and full bath with shower, as well as a wet bar with mini-refrigerator, microwave and sink. The guest house is detached and has an entrance separate from the main home so guests can come and go as they please. All 4 bedrooms have TVï¿½s and the home offers free wireless internet access.

One of the focal points of 4 Black Skimmer is the outdoor pool area that is beautifully furnished with patio furniture, gas grill and privacy wall. This home is located directly on the paved beach path, and a private staircase leads you from the pool to the beach path for an easy stroll to the beach without having to cross any streets or encounter motorized vehicles. Additional amenities include free daily tennis at the South Beach Racquet Club, and the option to heat the swimming pool for an additional charge.

Sea Pines is a world-class vacation resort with pristine beaches, miles of biking trails, Lawton Stables with live petting zoo, public golf courses, including Harbour Town Golf Links, Racquet Clubs, shopping, restaurants and fully operational marinas in Harbour Town and South Beach with water sports, fishing charters and live entertainment. Most Sea Pines amenities are open to the public, but some may have parking fees or seasonal rates as determined by the resort. The house was great! Perfect location, and the updated kitchen area was great! The separate guest suite with kitchenette and full bath off the pool area was nice as well. DVHHI has always been a great one to book through, top of the line homes. It would have been nice to have a keypad vs. actual keys for door.

The front door is very high quality with extremely thick wood, and unfortunately, keypads are not a good fit for this door.

We stayed at 4 Black Skimmer from 8/7 to 8/14. This was the second year we have stayed at this location. Our stay was enjoyable, and we have booked the same house for next summer. We enjoy the Hilton Head area and staying in Sea Pines. Several restaurants have increased outdoor dining areas and created comfortable pleasant spaces which was much appreciated. The walk to the beach is pleasant and easy. The fact that the beaches are not crowded is a real plus. The house has comfortable living spaces and is the perfect fit for our extended family group. The service from DVHHI was good and when ants were a problem an exterminator was sent that day. The dryer in the house did not dry clothing well last year and this year it has further declined. Otherwise, the stay was fantastic

We had an awesome week. We have stayed on HHI all of our lives and this was the nicest yet. The home has a cook’s kitchen and was so convenient when cooking large meals for our family. The separate suite is a nice getaway for the parents also! Destination Vacation as usual was very accommodating. We would love to stay here again!

We are return renters with Destination Vacation. We have also stayed in 4 Black Skimmer before. Our family loved the house 3 years ago and were delighted to see the new kitchen that opened up to the living room and dining room this visit. Perfect for a family with young ones playing while dinner is being prepared. The new kitchen has a very quiet appliances and is well supplied. The house is beautifully decorated. Bedrooms are large and private with their own bathrooms. The house is situated close to the beach and a quick bike ride to the Salty Dog. The only thing missing from the house is a hair dryer! Fortunately my daughters brought theirs. We will return.

We had a wonderful family vacation from start to finish. The staff at Destination Vacation worked closely with us to make our time together very enjoyable. When the dryer in our unit was inoperable, they offered to pick up our laundry: washing, drying and folding it before returning it. Any concerns we had were promptly addressed and we will undoubtedly consider renting through Destination Vacation in the future!
